Kyo Kaido is an old highway connecting Osaka and Kyoto.
In the past, It was sometimes treated as an extension of the Tokaido Highway and, it functioned as a road from Osaka to Edo.

There were post towns on the highway.
Post towns were the base of the highway, where inns and businesses were located.

This album has an aspect of cultural research inspired by studying the history and culture of the highways and post towns.
Therefore, the name of the post town is used in many of the song titles.

In researching, discovered that my hometown faces the Kyo Kaido.
Also found out that it’s still connected to my hometown along the highway.

Finally, the album ends with the song "Oiwake".
"Oiwake" is a place name with the meaning of "fork".
Walking on the highway suggests following the footsteps of my hometown and going to the next step.
